Fairview Lakes Medical Center has opportunities for adults and students (ages 14 and older) working directly with patients and families, and also behind-the-scenes, providing project support for several departments. Gift shop, emergency department, hospital floor, valet and physical therapy positions are a few of the high need areas. The medical center is also seeking special projects volunteers with computer and social media skills.
Volunteer hours can be flexible with travel plans, student activities, and athletic schedules. Daytime, evening, and weekend shifts are available. Orientations are held the second Saturday of every month. A commitment to volunteer for 100 hours is required to begin training.
Student volunteers with 200 or more service hours are eligible for student service award, which is a $1,000 scholarship.
