Superintendent search narrowed to three; in-district candidates earn final round interview opportunity

The Forest Lake School Board has narrowed their search for a new superintendent to replace the retiring Linda Madsen. Most recently the candidate pool was narrowed from six to three after a series of interviews April  10 and 11. The finalists for the position are Steven Massey, Principal, Forest Lake Area Senior High School; John-Paul Jacobson, Principal, Century Junior High School, Forest Lake Area Schools; and Gregory Winter, Director of Teaching and Learning, Cambridge-Isanti Schools. Final interviews with the school board members will be conducted April 19 at the district office with Massey from 5:35 to 6:35 p.m., Jacobson from 6:40 to 7:40 p.m., and Winter from 7:45 to 8:45 p.m. All interviews are open to the public.
