Master Gardeners to host plant sale

Community Editor

The plant sale of the Master Gardeners in Washington County will be held May 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is an opportunity to buy perennial and annual flowers, vegetables, herbs, and pollinator friendly plants. Plants for shade and sun, old and new garden favorites, and unique plants from the Master Gardeners’ own collections will be available.

Featured at the sale will be vegetables and flowers that have been tested in University of Minnesota Extension Trial Gardens and in the gardens of Master Gardeners. They have been found to be the “best of the best” new plant introductions for Minnesota gardens.

The Master Gardener Diagnostic Experts will be on hand during the sale to answer questions concerning insects or disease that gardeners may be experiencing. Gardeners are encouraged to bring samples or photos of plants or insects of concern.

Extensive selections of pollinator-friendly plants will also be available at the sale. Master Gardeners who specialize in pollinator gardens will be on-hand to help with selections and provide advice on garden plans and information about the various pollinator species.

The sale will be at the Washington County Fairgrounds, 12300 North 40th Street, Stillwater. For more information, contact Susan Young, Communications Coordinator, MGWC at 612-200-6366 or [email protected]
