Forest Lake Arts in the Park 2017 kicked off with soulful rock and roll music June 6, featuring the Jorgensen-Tagg duo. Audience numbers continued to grow as Hurricane Harold and Jeff Ray provided blues music June 13. The ever-popular kids night on June 20 (a second will be held Aug. 15) saw Lakeside Park taken over by students of all ages, and country music with the Rex Cactus band will be featured June 27.

Aside from the music, Arts in the Park guests can enjoy a newly expanded food truck selection and a large number of craft vendors. Also, now that the prime growing season is quickly approaching, attendees can enjoy a wider variety of farmer’s market offerings. Other unique offerings include a vinyl record and comic book sales booth and an on-site caricature artist.

Arts in the Park, held at Lakeside Memorial Park, is held every Tuesday through Aug. 29. The event runs from 5 to 9 p.m., and the music is available from 6 to 8 p.m.
