The Birchwood Senior Living community, residents, families, and staff, welcomed a donation of flowers and landscaping from the FFA and the Forest Lake High School agriculture department.
“Our residents are beaming with excitement,” marketing director Shawna Kremer said in a press release.
“They are overjoyed with the gorgeous array of colors that now decorate their community courtyard. The generosity of these organization have helped to create a lovely outdoor space for our residents and families to reconnect with one another, or simply take in quiet moment alone.”
Kremer said that this kindness has also positively impacted those living in the long term care center who are unable to get outdoors independently.
“In our dining area, we are fortunate enough to have a large glass patios door that looks out onto the resident courtyard, she said. “Because of their thoughtfulness, our courtyard is now flooded with an abundance of color and life. What a joy it brings to our residents as they sit and dine.”
To celebrate, residents and employees recently hosted a courtyard celebration social. Birchwood residents were able to meet and thank those who made the landscaping project happen.
