Linwood Covenant Church, 6565 Viking Blvd. NE, will host a “Manna Market” on the second Thursday of every month with registration beginning at 5 p.m. This program rescues food from grocery stores and gives it to people in need. Film screening and testimony
Missionary Evangelism to Corrections will host a screening of “Church of Felons” along with a testimony Aug. 25 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Lakes Free Church in Lindstrom. Mindfulness class
Sue Flannigan, nurse practitioner, will lead guests through exercises that turn off the stress response and turn on the relaxation response. Pickleball tournament
The Scandia Parks and Recreation Committee is sponsoring the first ever Taco Daze Pickleball Tournament Sept. 9, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Scandia Community Center tennis courts. Booyah feed
The Freedom Steppers will host a booyah feed Sept. 23 from 12 to 3 p.m. at Serenity Shores, 20060 Maxwell Ave. N. The cost is $5 with free refills. Live entertainment will be available. The Freedom Steppers host events for those participating in sober lifestyle programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous.
