However, once those key street improvement projects are completed, the city will be swimming in a sea of “Ocean Blue.”

A routine inspection of the Forest Lake High School auditorium has found possible problems with the curtain and light rigging, which may need to be replaced, and has resulted in the school temporarily closing the facility. Ross Bennett, communications coordinator for ISD 831, said the potential problem was found on Thursday during a district staff inspection and the facility was roped off as a precaution. He said the district was bringing in a structural engineer for a formal inspection of the facility which is 38 years old. "We don't view it as a big thing," Bennett said. But until a more detailed inspection is completed, the facility won't be used, he added. The Forest Lake High School spring play is now in rehearsals for its stage showing next weekend. Bennett said he was uncertain if the spring play would be impacted by auditorium situation.
