Upcoming Forest Lake ice events

The month of February is loaded with ice events in
Forest Lake, which should keep everyone entertained.

FEB. 2 and 3: CMSA Straightline Racing.
Saturday — Jaycees Fun Run, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday — World Record Series, where speeds reach
 up to 170 miles per hour, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Registration begins at 8 a.m.

FEB. 9 and 10: World Championship WSA Pro
Xtreme Racing
on three ovals, with speeds
approaching 100 miles per hour.


Saturday, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Sunday, from noon to 3 p.m.
Kids Pro-Ice, ATVs, Motorcycles and
bar stool racing for fans.
(All races held on Forest Lake at the Main Beach)

FEB. 16 and 17: WSA Kids Ice State
Kitty Kat Championship.

(These races will be held on Third Lake of Forest Lake)

Saturday, Feb. 16:  FISHAPALOOZA
Ice Fishing Contest on First Lake.

 
Bitter cold doesn’t slow Nordic teams

The final results were posted from the Jan. 17 Nordic ski race at Como Park, and Forest Lake head coach Deno Johnsonshawnski.jpg provided a perfect summary as to who and what’s going on with his team.

Ranger wrestlers gear up for Friday’s ‘Main Event’

wrestlets.jpgAs a majority of varsity wrestlers were held out of the Forest Lake lineup last week due to match count totals, the Rangers made a relatively slow week even slower.

 

WELL ARMED: Besides competing at the Freshmen State Tournament last Saturday, Forest Lake’s Tony Smith also picked up a win at Park on Thursday, while wrestling for the varsity.

Panthers can’t match Forest Lake gymnasts
