Joseph E. Siegert
Joseph E. “Joe” Siegert, 66, Marine on St. Croix, died Monday, Aug. 30, 2010. He was the owner of Joe’s Small Engine Repair and Scandia’s Four Season’s Power.

A memorial service will take place at 4 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 2 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

A private family interment will be at Newport Cemetery, Newport.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon;  children, Robin (Paul) Green and Jolene (Lewis) Heaton; grandchildren, Nickie, Joey and Jake Green; one great-grandson, Matthew Green; one sister, Marie (Al) Schrom; other extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Edward Siegert.
 
Myrtle A. Richardson
Myrtle A. Richardson, (nee Ruffcorn), 106, Wyoming, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010.

A funeral service will take place at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 4 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Linwood Township Cemetery, Linwood.

She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Lyksett and Beatrice (LeRoy) Shaw; grandchildren, Catherine Lyksett, Elizabeth Merriman, Mark (Ann) Shaw, Linda (Paul) Spekman, Sandy Loverud and Jeffrey (Linda) Shaw; great-grandchildren, Mike and Steve Shaw, Lindsey and Courtney Spekman, Erin Loverud, Chloe and Tacy Shaw, Patrick Ian and Oliver Max Merriman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George; and 13 siblings.
 
Sally Jo Muellner
Sally Jo Muellner, 63, Hugo, died Monday, Aug. 30, 2010 following a fight with cancer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 2 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 14383 Forest Blvd. N., Hugo. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 1 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, and continuing one hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Hugo.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Leon; children, Matt (Dar) and Lee; grandchildren, Sarah, Nicholas, Aleah and Charlie; siblings Rose Jensen, Gene (Sandy) and Peggy Willis; brothers-in-law, Dan (Mary) Muellner, Terry (Deb) Muellner and Roger Muellner; sister-in-law Mary Beth Muellner; cousin Mike (Barb) Miller; and dear friend Carol Nordin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Lois Svendsen.
 
Russell F. Jackson
Russell F. Jackson, 94, Scandia, died Monday, Aug. 30, 2010. He served on the New Scandia Town Board of Supervisors for 36 years and was a lifelong farmer in Scandia.

A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 3 at Elim Lutheran Church, 20971 Olinda Trail N., Scandia. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. on Friday until the time of the service at Elim Lutheran.

Interment will be at the Elim Lutheran Church Cemetery, Scandia.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Lois; several nieces and nephews; other family members; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Iver Jackson, Arnold Jackson and Warren Jackson; one sister, Alyce Anderson; and one brother-in-law, Loren Kaphing.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Elim Church Elevator Fund and may be sent in care of Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, MN 55025.
 
Lorinne E. Eggert
Lorinne E. Eggert, 79, Wyoming, formerly of Minneapolis, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2010.

A funeral service was Tuesday, Aug. 31 at Grace Church, Wyoming, with interment at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Wyoming.

Betty J. Friedrichsen

Betty JoAnn Friedrichsen, 69, Stacy, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010 at the Cambridge Medical Center.

A memorial service will take place at 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 28 at Strike Funeral Home, Isanti Chapel, with the Rev. Paul Reynolds officiating. Friends may gather one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be at Pine Hill Cemetery, Williams.

She is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Friedrichsen and one grandson, Kyle Friedrichsen, Bettendorf, IA; her mother, Betty Mason, Baudette; two brothers, Ross (Bregetta) Mason, Hamburg, and Kent (Julie) Mason, Williams; one sister, Dianne (Randy) Turner, Roosevelt; special friend Janet Tepley, Stacy, and family, Evan Tepley of Braham and Chris Swanson of North Branch and families; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wallace Mason.

 
Joseph J. Kral

Joseph John Kral, 80, Forest Lake, formerly of Merrifield, died at home on Friday, Aug. 20, 2010. He was a 42-year employee of 3M Co.

A funeral service was Tuesday, Aug. 24 at Mattson Funeral Home, Forest Lake. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Forest Lake.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, LaVonne; children Steve (Kim) Kral; Carol Lehnen; Donna (Roger) Maki, Deb (Mike) Richter, and Pam (Mike) Carlson; 11 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, William (Billy); his parents, brother and sisters.

 
Glendon Shaleen

Glendon “Glen” Shaleen, 85, Isle, formerly of Scandia, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010. He was a World War II veteran with the Marines, served 36 years on the Scandia Fire Department and was a former owner of Shalander & Shaleen Sand and Gravel and the Ski-Doo business in Scandia.

A funeral service was Tuesday, Aug. 24 at Elim Lutheran Church, Scandia, with interment at the Elim Lutheran Church Cemetery, Scandia.

He is survived by his children, Nancy (Tim) Carlson, and Alan (Sue) Shaleen; four grandchildren, Angie Carlson, Becky (Wardell) Haywood, Renee (Jon) Meyer and Michael Shaleen; four great-grandchildren, Shea and Reid Meyer, and Wardell and Ava Haywood; one sister, June (Reuben) Shalander; special friend, Grace Lazorik; and many other extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores; siblings, Ray Shaleen, Marjorie Lindell and Jeanette Nord.
