Irma Belshaw, 85, Forest Lake, formerly of Wyoming, died at Birchwood Health Care Center, Forest Lake, on Friday, Jan. 29, 2010.
A funeral service was Tuesday, Feb. 2 at World of Pentecost Church, 16060 NW Crosstown Blvd., Andover, with interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
She is survived by her children, Jan Knauff, Ron (Norma), Bev (Rich) Gabrick, Gary and Chris (Cheryl); 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Hilda Schlemer-Barth and Marlene (Jerry) Johnson; brothers, Lester (Eileen) Howerton and Glen (Cathy) Howerton; nieces, nephews; and many church friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Belshaw; brothers, Kenneth Dale Howerton and Harold Howerton.

Gene Palmer, 69, Forest Lake, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010 from complications from Parkinson’s disease.
A celebration of his life was Sunday, Jan. 31 at Mattson Funeral Home, Forest Lake.
He is survived by his life partner Sharon Raehsler; mother Sonja Palmer; children, Bill (Dayna) Palmer, Becky (Larry) Ferrier, Roger (Leah) Palmer, Jeff Kurilla, Debbie (Ray) Buhil, Kim Wallraff and Gary (Sharon) Kosman; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris (Paul) Tyler, and Ruth (Ed) Frandle; nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter; one daughter, Berta; and one sister, Mary Hegstrom.

Mafalda “Muffi” Hoffmann-Lawler, Forest Lake, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010.
A private family service will be held in Grand Marais.
She is survived by her daughters, Cathy (Bill) Morehead and Colleene (Andy) Kauls; sons William (Macia) Lawler and Charles Peter Lawler; grandchildren, Wendy, Christopher, Kimberly, Nathan, Nancy, Katie, Brian and Chris; great-grandchildren, Trey, Hailey, Justin, Jordan, Jonah and Hana; one sister, Elnora Milliken and Muffi’s best friend, James Croone.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Lucy Toldo; infant daughter Betty Lawler; husbands Charles T. Lawler and Edwin Hoffmann.

Dorothy Rychley, 83, Edina, formerly of Forest Lake, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010. She was a lifetime nurse who retired from Abbott Northwestern Hospital.
A celebration of her life was Wednesday, Jan. 27 at Mattson Funeral Home, Forest Lake.
She is survived by her children, Pam (Robert) Cronkhite, Gary (Wendy) Rychley and Barb Rychley; grandchildren, David (Sarah) Rychley, Marty (Margi) Rychley, Caroline (Matt) Resler, Nick Rychley; great-grandchildren Jack, Emma and Evan; one brother, Walter (Pat) Finick; one sister, Miriam Von Drasek.

Thecla “Nikki” Storkan 85, Colorado Springs, CO, formerly of Forest Lake and Coon Rapids, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010 of complications from colon cancer.
A funeral service will take place at 11 am, Friday Feb. 5 at The Church Of The Epiphany, 1900 NW 111th Ave., Coon Rapids. A luncheon will follow at the church.
Interment will take place in June at The Church of the Assumption Cemetery in Barnesville, MN.
She is survived by her children Donna (Jim) Schilling, Douglas (Mary) Storkan, Barbara (John) Miller, and Carol Miller; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and brothers Stanley (Erma) and Ronald (Val) Nicklay,
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Storkan; parents Fred and Lena Nicklay, Barnesville; brothers Wilfred, Clayton and Fredrick; sisters Francis and Angela.

Constance “Connie” Darling, 60, Forest Lake, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010 from ovarian cancer.
A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 23 at Hosanna Lutheran Church, 9300 Scandia Trail N., Forest Lake.
Visitation will take place 5-8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 22 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Jan. 22.
Interment will be Scandinavian Cemetery, Forest Lake.
She is survived by her husband, Jon Darling; daughters Valerie Ann Darling and Amber Elizabeth (James) Novak; granddaughter Isabel Constance Novak; one sister, Corrine (Thomas) Frank; one half-brother, Garry (Delores) Froelich; one nephew, William Albert (Nicole) Frank; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruth Froelich; one niece, Lorelei Ruth Frank; and one half-brother, Donald Froelich.

Arthur “Art” Klinefelter, 91, Marine on St. Croix, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010 at his home on Big Marine Lake.
A celebration of his life was Saturday, Jan. 16 at Immanuel Church, Forest Lake. Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Monday, Jan. 18.
He is survived by wife of 64 years, Marion; their children: Dean, Diane (Alan) Baxter, Gary (Nicole); grandchildren Julie (Joe), Laura, Greg, Phillip, Mark, Peter and Sarah; great-grandchildren Vincent and Alessandra; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by 10 siblings, and daughter-in-law, Genny Klinefelter.
