Ralph S. Plaisted, 80, Linwood Township, died Monday, Sept. 8, 2008.
A funeral service was Friday, Sept. 12 at First Lutheran Church, White Bear Lake, with a celebration of his life at the Prom Center in Oakdale.
He is survived by three daughters, Jacquie (Bruce Coen) Hafner, Woodbury, Taffy Plaisted, Colorado, and Lesle (John) Tobkin, Watertown, SD; one son, David (Joy) Plaisted, Deephaven; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one brother, Tom Plaisted, Buffalo.
He was preceded in death by wives LeOra Mae (Jones) and Riki.
Memorials are preferred to an animal shelter, humane society or animal rescue organization in Ralph Plaisted’s name.

Josephine M. (Preiner) Pihlak, 86, Forest Lake, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008 at home.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Forest Lake, with interment at Calvary Cemetery, Forest Lake.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Leona Houle Preiner; the Bernard A. Preiner family; and other nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary; husband, Ed; and one brother, Bernard Preiner.

Raymond J. Elias, 85, White Bear Lake, formerly of Stacy, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2008 at his home.
A Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, Sept. 16 at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, White Bear Lake, with interment at St. John’s Cemetery, Little Canada.
He is survived by daughters Barb Ketola, Bonnie Ohata, Terri Elias and Kathy Elias; one son, Mike (Kristine) Elias; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Ted (Ursuline) Elias; many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by wife, Marie; one sister, Lorraine.
Memorials are preferred to the Disabled Vets Rest Camp or pancreatic cancer research.

Sharon G. Miller, 66, North Branch, formerly of Forest Lake and Lino Lakes, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2008 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Minneapolis, after a long struggle with systemic illness.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 19 at Gethsemane United Methodist Church, 7330 Lake Drive, Lino Lakes. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 18 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be at Rice Lake Methodist Cemetery, Lino Lakes.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dean; daughter Dianna (Christopher) Skoog; son, Scott (Terry) Miller; grandsons, Alex and Ben Skoog, Jacob Youngberg; one brother, Curtis (Audrey) Behm.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Gladys Behm.
Memorials are preferred to the National Arthritis Foundation.

Lucas (Farmer) Beeksma, 91, Forest Lake, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2008.
A funeral service was Saturday, Sept. 6 at Mattson Funeral Home, Forest Lake, with interment at Scandinavian Cemetery, Forest Lake.
He was a World War II veteran and long-time member of the VFW and American Legion in Forest Lake.
He is survived by children, Ted (Mary) Beeksma, Verna (Richard) Haag, Lois (Vernon) Haag and Melanie Larson; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Crozier; many nieces, nephews and close neighbors and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, and one son, Fred Beeksma.
Memorials are preferred to Forest Lake VFW Post 4210.

She is survived by husband of 58 years Sam; children Sharon (George) Saul, Dale (Cindy) Furrer; grandchildren, Eric (Amanda) Dailey, Ann Dailey, Allison Furrer, Tara (John) Thielen, Kyle Furrer; great-grandson Ryan Dailey; sisters, Ruth Johnston, Jane Powell, Harriet (Ken) Anderson, Yvonne (Gary) Fuglie, Clara “Susie” (Rich) Paugel; many nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Agnes (Dupre) Bergeron; infant sister, Mary Bergeron.

Katie Beth Gibson, 28, Linwood Township, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008.
A celebration of her life will take place at 7 p.m. tonight (Thursday), Sept. 11 at Linwood Covenant Church, 6565 Viking Blvd. NE, Linwood. The family will greet friends from 5 p.m., until the time of the service on Thursday. A private family interment will take place at Linwood Cemetery.
She is survived by her parents, Mark and Shari (Wolff) Gibson; brothers Gabe (Heather), Greg; grandmother Linda Wolff; aunts and uncles, Billi Jo (Jim) Beck, Stephanie (Mike) Gregerson, Matt (Ruth) Wolff, Mark Wolff, Gene (Rhea) Gibson, Linda (Mike) Neuman, Joyce (Jerry) Rogers, Gary Gibson, Sherry Gibson, Ramona Dittmer; many cousins and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bill Wolff, and Eugene and Kathryn Gibson.
