Frederick E. Burdick

Frederick E. Burdick, 64, Chisago City, died Friday, June 13, 2008 at his home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 19, at The Church of St. Paul in Ham Lake, with Fr. Jon Vander Ploeg     officiating. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Paula; children: Dawn (Bryan) Ayers, Chris (Kim) Burdick, Jennifer (Steve) Wistrcill and Missy (Pete) Forsberg; 15 grandchildren; sisters: Lois Holt and Sharon Weinhardt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Erwin and Geneva.

 
Shawn M. Kost

Shawn Michael Kost, 18, Columbus, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008.

A celebration of his life was Friday, June 13 at Mattson Funeral Home, Forest Lake.

He is survived by his parents, Tammy and Ed  Anderson and James Beck; sisters, Jillian and Kelly; grandparents, Penny Carlson, Robert (Janine) Kost; aunts and uncles, Larry Kost, Amanda (Chuck) Belanger, Joshua Kost, Jenni (Dave) Westergren; many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gordon and Evelyn Anderson; aunt Chevon Pihulak.

Memorials are preferred.

 
William J. Sahr

William J. Sahr, 87, St. Paul, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008.

A funeral service was Friday, June 13 at Mattson Funeral Home, Forest Lake, with interment at Union Cemetery, St. Paul.

He is survived by his daughter, Linda (Neil) Dohm; sisters, Alice Wallin and Gwendolyn Alden; grandchildren, Tim (Sandra) Dohm, Michael Dohm, Jeffrey Dohm and Adam (Heather) Dohm; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline; and eight siblings.

 
Avis N. Kling

Avis Nadine Kling (nee Krumm), 78, Forest Lake, died Wednesday, June 4, 2008.

A funeral service was Tuesday, June 10 at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake, with interment at Evergreen Memorial Park.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Arnold; children, Susan Alsaker, Steven (Pamela), Lawrence (ChunCha), Julie (Edward) Zilge and Daniel (Debra); 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Leslie Krumm, Louis (Bonnie) Krumm; sisters, Pearl Anderson and Delores (Garry) Froelich; sister-in-law, Ann Krumm; best friend, Doris (Raymond) Huebscher; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Pearl Krumm; son-in-law, David Alsaker; sister, Muriel Groat; brother, Curvin Krumm; sister-in-law, Josephine Krumm; brothers-in-law, Richard Anderson, Reynold Goff and Chuck Groat.
Memorials are preferred.

 
Arthur F. Hanson

Arthur F. Hanson, 79, Hugo, died Thursday, June 5, 2008.

A funeral service was Tuesday, June 10 at Faith Lutheran Church, Forest Lake, with interment at Union Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Lorraine;  children, Beverly (Ken) Schaffer and Gordon (Eileen); three grandchildren, Brad (Carol), Mike, and Dan; two great-grandchildren, Misty and Nicole;  sisters, Delores Karas and Marie Hanson (Ann Monson);  brother, Marlin (Maureen) and many nieces, nephews, friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

 
Tim V. Granna

Tim V. Granna, 45, Center City, died Saturday, June 7, 2008.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1 p.m., Thursday, June 12 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake, with interment at Roselawn Cemetery, Roseville. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 11 at Roberts Family Funeral Home, 555 SW Centennial Drive, Forest Lake.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Vernon (Dianne) Granna; mother and stepfather, Nancy (Gene) Collier; grandmother, Beverly E. Granna; sister, Susan (Roland) Edgington; brother, Steven Granna; stepbrothers and stepsisters, Tim, Candy, Geno, Barb and Shari; and many other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vernon Granna, Sr. and Frank and Ruth Thury.

 
Norma Harper

An informal celebration of the life of Norma Harper, 92, of Forest Lake, who died on Jan. 19, 2008, will take place on Sunday, June 8.

The gathering of friends will take place from 3-5 p.m. at the Harper home, 8975 North Shore Trail N. The gathering will be hosted by Norma Harper’s son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Sue Harper.

 
Rosalind H. Bowman

Rosalind H. Bowman, 91, Stacy, died Thursday, May 29, 2008 at her home.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, June 6, at Kost Evangelical Free Church, 37405 Kost Trail, North Branch.  Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, June 5 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, and continuing one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Linwood  Cemetery, Linwood Township.

She is survived by her children, Ronald (Joyce), Julienne Bowman, Gloria (Wayne) Verble, Myrna Bowman, Carolyn “Cary” (Terry) Nelson, Carlyle “Carl” Bowman, Elly Bowman, Verlin (Sharon) Bowman, Arvella (Philip) Smith, Bernetta Coulombe, David Bowman, Twila (Bill) Smith, Roger Bowman, Darrel (Becky) Bowman; 21 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Emma (Greimann) Bergman; husband Bernard; son Bruce; son-in-law Don Coulombe; and one sister Ruth.
