The 2008 East Section Synchronized Swim Championships concluded Saturday, May 17 at Richfield Middle School, with Forest Lake taking second place to powerhouse Stillwater, 173 to 100. In a distant third place was Richfield with 54 points.
Based on section results, the Rangers will have plenty of swimmers moving on to the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center, as the top four in each category advance to the state championships (May 22-23).
Forest Lake was unable to grab the top spot in any extended event, but McKinzie Chelberg did take first place in the long figures competition. She also claimed third place in extended figures.
