Traveling baseball workout (16)
The workout session and team selection for 16-year-old traveling baseball will be Friday, May 23 at the Forest Lake High School fields. The session runs from 3-6 p.m. If you have any questions, call Dale Hager at 651-433-5288.
Sports Complex floral gift cards
Now your spring planting can yield more than just flowers; you could be donating to the Sports Complex at the same time. For every $50 gift card purchased at Forest Lake Floral between now and July 30, $10 will go toward the Sports Complex being built by the Forest Lake Area Athletic Association (FLAAA). For gift card amounts over $50, the garden center will donate 20 percent.
“Most people are already buying plants this time of year, so they don’t even have to go out of their way to support the Sports Complex,” said Larry Schminski, Chair of the Sports Complex Board. “They can pick up a gift card and use it themselves or give it as a gift.
“We really appreciate all the support we’ve been getting from Forest Lake Floral,” Schminski added. “The Roberts family (owner of Forest Lake Floral and Roberts Family Funeral Home) knows we still need to raise $300,000 for the Sports Complex, and they’re doing all they can to motivate the community and help us reach that goal.”
