It's now official. Sunrise Meadows Park in Wyoming has been renamed Norman August Tolzmann Park. Leaders of Wyoming Township and the city of Wyoming led a program Saturday morning to formally dedicate the park and honor Tolzmann for his lifetime of work to help better the Wyoming and Forest Lake communities. Tolzmann is pictured here with the new sign and Wyoming Town Board Chair Roger Elmore, far left, and Wyoming Mayor Sheldon Anderson, right. Chisago County Commissioner Ben Montzka, District 17B State Rep. Jeremy Kalin and Forest Lake Mayor Stev Stegner also brought remarks and saluted the former town board supervisor and his family for their many accomplishments. During Tolzmann's long tenure on the town board, he was a strong advocate for parks and took part in the joint city-township planning and building of Sunrise Park which is now Tolzmann Park.
