Advertising Policies / General Information
Terms of Payment:
All
advertising space, other than agreement advertising, will be billed at
the full open rate. Payment must be made in full by the last day of the
month following billing. Accounts whose payments are received after the
last day of the month, lose their agreement discounts and are subject
to a 1-1/2% monthly service charge. Accounts who have a balance due
from a previous month for advertising or other services, will be billed
for advertising at the full and open rate, without further discount.
New accounts are on a cash basis until credit is established. Transient
and political advertising are CASH IN ADVANCE. We accept cash, VISA,
MasterCard, and Discover.
We reserve the right to cancel scheduled advertising if the advertiser is over 90 days arrears in payments.
Publisher’s Liability for Error
The
Publisher shall not be liable for slight changes or typographical
errors that do not lessen the value of an advertisement. The
Publisher's liability for other errors or omissions in connection with
an advertisement is strictly limited to space actually occupied by the
portion of the advertisement in which the error occurred, and there
shall be no liability for non-insertion of any advertisement beyond the
amount paid for such advertisement. Notice of typographical errors must
be given in time for correction before the second insertion, otherwise
no claim can be allowed.
Indemnification
The
Advertiser and/or advertising agency agrees to defend and indemnify the
Publisher against any and all liability, loss or expense arising from
claims of libel, unfair competition, unfair trade practices,
infringement of trademarks, copyrights, trade names, patents, or
proprietary rights or violation of rights of privacy, resulting from
the publication of the Advertiser's advertisement. We reserve the right
to cancel or reject any advertisement at any time.
Placement
Placement
of ads in the St. Croix Valley Peach, the Forest Lake Times, the ECM
Post Review, Scotsman and Isanti County News is at the option of the
publisher. Every effort is given to honor position requests, but no
position guarantees are made.
