Ernest Lakamp will celebrate his 100th birthday with an open house on Sunday, Dec. 23. The Chisago City man, who turns 100 on Monday, Dec. 24, will be the special guest of a gathering at Faith Lutheran Church in Forest Lake. The open house is set from, 2-5 p.m. on Dec. 23. Lakamp moved to the Forest Lake area in 1950.

The Dec. 23 open house will be hosted by Frank and Bette Lakamp’s five children, 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. The Lakamps will also be guests at a dinner and birthday gathering at their home in Chisago City, the Homestead Cooperative.
