Rachel Wright starts 2nd troop card drive PDF Print
Wednesday, 01 October 2008
After a highly successful first card send to military personnel stationed in Iraq, Rachel Wright will begin a second greeting card program on October 1st. Last summer, the Wyoming area woman collected more than 1700 blank greeting cards which were sent to troops. The intent of the Mission Soldier Support program, is to provide Army National Guard troops with blank cards for the holiday season which can be mailed to loved ones at home. Wright is the owner of Captured Time Books, a custom scrapbook service. She also creates greeting cards and stationery on her business web page, www.capturedtimebooks.etsy.com. Mission Soldier Support is being carried out with the help of 29 artists who are linked through www.etsy.com. To learn more about how to take part in the program, visit Wright’s home page at http://capturedtimebooks.etsy.com, call 612-220-4010, or check out Wright’s blog at http://capturedtimebooks.blogspot.com To donate an item to this cause, search “MSS” for participating shops. The fall drive runs until November 7.
