Girls drop Cretin, 5-3
Since starting the year at 7-0, the Forest Lake girls hockey team had not won a game in five straight attempts. Last Saturday, the Rangers (8-4-1) fell to the defending state champion Stillwater Ponies, 4-2, which came after a 5-3 loss to the Duluth Northern Stars on Dec. 13.
Charise Kendrick ( right) and her teammates faced Cretin-Derham Hall (4-4-3) on Tuesday night, where Forest Lake won, 5-3.
The team now has some time off before taking part in the Schwan Cup Tournament that runs Dec. 26-28.
