Area residents wishing to learn more about their candidates for city council and mayor will have that chance, thanks to the Forest Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber will sponsor three separate candidate forums for mayoral and city council candidates from Forest Lake, Wyoming and Columbus.

The Forest Lake City Council Forum will take place 6:30-8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 7 at the Forest Lake City Hall, 220 N. Lake St., Forest Lake, MN 55025.

The Columbus Forum will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 21 at the Columbus City Office; 16319 Kettle River Blvd., Columbus.

The Wyoming Forum will take place 6:30-8:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 30, at the Wyoming City Hall, 26855 Forest Blvd., Wyoming.

Alan Bakke will moderate all three Chamber forums. He has served in the moderator chair for many past election forums.

The Forest Lake and Columbus council forums will be taped and broadcast over Lakes Area Cable Television, Channel 10, several times before the election.

The Wyoming area is not part of the Forest Lake cable television franchise agreement and the forum will not be telecast over that cable system.
