Chamber panel will review emergency steps

The Forest Lake Area Chamber of Commerce will host a panel discussion on the topic of emergency preparedness from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 16 at ZieglerCAT, Inc., 13822 W. Freeway Drive, Columbus. The panel will focus on the tornado that hit the Hugo area in late May. The panel will include Hugo Mayor Fran Miron, Hugo City Administrator Mike Ericson, Rep. Bob Dettmer and officials from Washington County Public Health and Fairview Lakes Health Services. The panel will discuss what worked and what didn't, what was learned from the tragedy and update of where Hugo is in the rebuilding process. Reservations are needed by noon, Friday, Oct. 10.
