A school playground incident in Forest Lake last summer has resulted in a criminal sexual conduct charge against a Forest Lake man.

Police in Forest Lake have charged Anthony Steven Knauff, 20, of 1006 SW 12th St., with felony third-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a victim under the age of 13.

Chief of Police Clark Quiring said the matter was reported to city police on June 12 and related to an incident that took place at Sharewood Forest Community Playground, 408 SW 4th St.

He  said Knauff is accused of inappropriate actions involving a female who met him at the playground. Police believe multiple incidents between the man and the juvenile took place, Quiring said.

The incident took place shortly before Sharewood Forest was demolished and replaced by a new school playground. The playground is located between Forest Lake and Forest View elementary schools.
