A Forest Lake man landed in jail early Sunday morning on a felony drug charge after he was stopped by Forest Lake Police Department officers for outstanding felony warrants. Chief of Police Clark Quiring said officers observed Scott Blahowski, 49, of 867 SE 3rd St. in the Holiday Station, 1208 W. Broadway Ave. at shortly past midnight on Sunday. He was stopped for outstanding warrants, the chief said.
Quiring said officers briefly scuffled with Blahowski after he came in contact with police. The chief said that at the time of his arrest on the oustanding warrants, Blahowski was allegedly carrying 56 grams of what police positively identified as crystal methamphetamine. He was taken to the Washington County Jail in Stillwater where he was held on a probable cause charge of felony first-degree posession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, Quiring said. He was also booked on the outstanding warrants, Quiring said.
