| Warrant stop lands FL man in jail on drug charge |

A Forest Lake man landed in jail early Sunday morning on a felony drug charge after he was stopped by Forest Lake Police Department officers for outstanding felony warrants. Chief of Police Clark Quiring said officers observed Scott Blahowski, 49, of 867 SE 3rd St. in the Holiday Station, 1208 W. Broadway Ave., at shortly past midnight Sunday. Quiring said officers briefly scuffled with Blahowski after he came in contact with police and resisted arrest. The chief said that at the time of his arrest on the warrants, Blahowski was allegedly carrying 56 grams of what police positively identified as crystal methamphetamine. He was taken to the Washington County Jail in Stillwater where he was booked and held on a probable cause charges of felony first-degree posession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and obstruction, Quiring said. Blahowski was also booked on the outstanding warrants, the chief said. Other crimes Police in Forest Lake are also investigating a series of vandalism reports from 924 SW 4th St. Owners of four vehicles who live in the apartment complex came forward on Sunday to report multiple incidents of tires being punctured or slashed by vandals overnight. City officers were also called to the I-35 Rest Area Monday night to assist the Minnesota State Patrol with a fight involving three men, two who are from California.. The three men involved in the fisticuffs were separated and tickets were handed out, Quiring reported. One man was saddled with a driving while intoxicated ticket. The two men from California were hit with a series of misdemeanor offenses that include open alcohol container, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a small amount of marijuana.
