A request for additional discussion of the city of Forest Lake’s participation in the metro transit taxing district won’t take place on Monday, April 27. That discussion has now been moved to the city council’s meeting agenda on Monday, May 11, City Administrator Chip Robinson said this week. Councilwoman Susan Young, the lone member of the council to support the city’s joining the taxing district, asked for additional discussion on the topic. But with Mayor Stev Stegner expected to be absent from the council table again on April 27, the agenda item has been moved. Stegner missed most of the April 13 meeting and is expected to be absent again on April 27 while attending a Lions training program on emergency response services that Lions can provide. Stegner is a member of the Forest Lake Lions.
