It was a near record turnout for participants in the annual Forest Lake FFA Horse Show on Saturday at the Dead Broke Arena in Hugo. A weather forecast for clouds and a chance of rain was no where to be found as the event was sun splashed for most of the day. Among the many who brought their horses to the open horse show were Wesley Villegas, 4, and his mom, Cara O’Keefe of Mahtomedi. The mother-son duo entered western pleasure classes.
