The Washington County Board of Commissioners has accepted a $60,000 grant from the state Office of Justice Programs to continue a special Community Corrections initiative reaching out to culturally diverse youth on probation. The curriculum, which is based on evidence gathered through similar efforts, provides funding for a half-time probation officer to provide culturally appropriate in-home family therapy and “Aggression Replacement Training” with youth on probation.
