| A fitting send-off for Floyd Simonson |

 It was a fitting send-off for Floyd L. Simonson of Scandia on Friday. Simonson, 75, passed away on June 28. He was a retired firefighter in Scandia where he logged 41 years of service. More than 50 firefighters turned out for his funeral. His casket was taken from Elim Lutheran Church to the Elim Lutheran Cemetery by a Scandia Fire Department truck. The pallbearers walked behind the truck while fire trucks from Scandia, Marine, Forest Lake, St. Paul Park, White Bear Lake and Eagan followed.
