Before performing for judges at the Suburban East All-Conference Music Festival, hear musicians from Forest Lake High School serenade community members during a special preview concert.

The event, featuring the Sinfonia Orchestra, Symphonic Winds band and the Concert Choir, will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 28 in the high school auditorium.

This preview concert is a warm-up for students preparing for the Suburban East All-Conference Music Festival, which will be held on Feb. 3.

During next month’s music festival, Forest Lake students will join with others from the top bands, choirs and orchestras in the Suburban East Conference. Each group will perform for a clinician and their peers.

Following the performances the clinician gives feedback to the groups on how they did and/or might improve future performances.  Several students from each school are also selected to perform together as an All-Conference Ensemble.

The day ends with a Grand Finale Concert in the evening, beginning at 7:30 at Roseville High School.
There is one more opportunity to hear students perform at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 29 in the Forest Lake High School auditorium during the Winter Concert featuring the String Orchestra, Treble and Varsity choirs.
