Mattson Funeral Home wins national honors PDF Print

1149mattson.jpgTwo top national awards have been won by Mattson Funeral Home of Forest Lake. During the 2009 NFDA International Convention in Boston, MA, last month, the National Funeral Directors Association named Mattson Funeral Home as one of five funeral homes in the nation to win a “Best of the Best” award. In addition, Mattson Funeral Home was named one of 167 firms to claim a Pursuit of Excellence award. In winning the “Best of the Best” award, Mattson Funeral Home was recognized for its development and execution of unique program or service that had a significant impact on those served. Specifically, the NFDA recognized Mattson's  for its Heartley Bear project. In general Pursuit of Excellence awards go to firms for adhering to strict ethical and professional standards and providing outstanding service to families and communities. Funeral homes must demonstrate a proficiency in key area of the profession by fulfilling criteria in six categories of achievement.
