 St. Peter’s Elementary School third-grader Ellen Steffes was one of two District 5M-7 poster contest winners through the annual Forest Lake Lion’s Club Drug Awareness Poster Contest. El Ewert, a Lion who has co-chaired the program for 15 years, helps Ellen hold her winning poster here which was the club’s champion Grade 3 poster. Forest View Elementary’s Alexis Riepe was the District 5M-7 kindergarten champion, giving the Forest Lake club two of the top six prizes. Fifty-three clubs took part.
