County farm bureau receives awards |

The Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation honored its top county farm bureaus during the 89th Annual Meeting November 17-19 in Bloomington. These “Best of the Best” counties are annually selected and awarded the most prestigious county Farm Bureau award: The President’s Award for Exemplary Achievement. This year, the Washington/Ramsey County Farm Bureau received the award in the county membership group of less than 250-499 members. “We are pleased to be recognized for our activities,” said Fran Miron of Hugo, the Washington/Ramsey County Farm Bureau President, “and we look forward to continuing to promote the agricultural industry, the products it provides, and develop policy that ensures a successful food and fiber system.” The farm bureau also earned recognition for outstanding program in promotion and education of agriculture. The program earned recognition for outstanding efforts in Ag in Classroom programs. Members visited several schools presenting Ag in the Classroom materials and donated eight book bundles to local schools.
