Two Forest Lake High School students were recently honored with top awards in the Minnesota Scholastic Art Awards program.
Amanda Sausen, of Wyoming, was awarded a Gold Key award for her jewelry entry and a Silver Key award for her pen and ink entry.
Casey Wittrock, of Forest Lake, received a Gold Key award for his dry point engraving prints.
More than 1,000 entries were submitted and only 57 Gold Keys and 111 Silver Keys were awarded.
Sausen and s artwork is currently on display at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design until Feb. 17.
The two will compete in the national competition in New York later this year.
