Child Care Conference at Hosanna on Feb. 23 |

The Professional Learning Alternatives, Inc. is sponsoring “This One’s
For You!” – a child care conference from 7 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. on
Saturday, Feb. 23 at Hosanna Lutheran Church.
The annual conference includes 22 presentations by regional experts in
fields such as curriculum development in math, reading, and science;
comparative studies of childrearing practices of the Ojibwe and other
regional cultures; building and maintaining self-esteem in children,
supporting children in military families; social bullying, business
practices, fitness activities, and yoga.
The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will facilitate a full-day
series on Environmental Education for Early Childhood Learning. It
will explore how outdoor experiences improve children’s overall
development.
Sue Lennartson, the keynote presenter, is an international speaker and
keynoter as well as a seminar and retreat leader for multi-generational
audiences. Sue is currently the Pastor of Women’s Ministries at Eagle
Brook Church in White Bear Lake and is the author of several books and
articles.
