East Bethel murder charges filed

The suspect in a late January homicide case in East Bethel was released from an area hospital and brought to the Anoka County Jail Wednesday on Wednesday, Feb. 13. At his first appearance in Anoka County District Court, bail for Raymond Robideau, 33, was set at $500,000, according to prosecutor Paul Young, assistant Anoka County attorney. Robideau’s next court appearance is March 13. Robideau was charged on Jan. 29 with second-degree intentional murder, which carries a maximum sentence of 40 years, if convicted. According to the criminal complaint, his live-in girlfriend Sharon Chouinard, 35, was stabbed to death in her East Bethel home on Jan. 25.
