10th annual FLHS Percussion Festival PDF Print

Saturday, March 8, the Forest Lake High School Ranger Drumline will be hosting its 10th annual percussion festival. ]

The festival will be held at Forest Lake High School from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This year’s line-up will keep you on the edge of your seat as you watch the high-energy and innovation of scheduled drumlines. The performances will entertain and stir emotions in all who attend.

Drumline groups from high schools in Minnesota and Wisconsin will present programs which include original music, choreography and costumes. The festival will host the following drumlines from Wisconsin: Kenosha, Menasha and River Valley.

Performing from Minnesota: Albany, Anoka, Becker, Buffalo, Burnsville, Cold Springs, Eagan, Forest Lake, Fridley, Highland Park, Irondale, Rochester and South St. Paul.

The Forest Lake High School Ranger Drumline consists of 20 junior and senior high students. They will be presenting this year’s program titled “Circuit,” based on the electronic synth music of the alternative band Depeche Mode.

The team is under the direction of Jordan Beim.  Assisting him are Jordan Cox and Kaitlyn Erickson. A.J. Bohler, a senior at FLHS is acting as third-year captain of the marching percussion section. Liz Johnson, a senior at the St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists leads the mallet keyboard section.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students. Open to the public.
