Ken Anderson and his team of 16 dogs pulled into Cripple, Alaska, shortly after 7 a.m. Thursday morning and was the sixth team to arrive. He will take his mandatory 24-hour rest at Cripple, the half-way point in the 2008 Iditarod Trail Sled Dog race. Other top racers, who stopped earlier in the race for their mandatory 24-hour rest periods, are expected to be back on the trail soon and will recapture the lead spots. As of mid-afternoon on Thursday, Anderson, a former Forest Lake resident, trailed leader DeeDee Jonrowe, Paul Gebhardt, Martin Buser, Zack Steer and Ed Iten.
