Former Forest Lake resident Ken Anderson is starting to make a move in this year's Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. As of early Saturday morning, Anderson moved from 26th to 13th place in the overall standings. He made the move while traveling between Cripple and Ruby. As of early this morning, Anderson was on his way to Galena with a team of 15 dogs, having dropped one of his mushing team. He is hoping to catch DeeDee Jonrowe who is in 12th place. Leading the pack is 2007 Iditarod champion Lance Mackey. Running second is Jeff King. Both Mackey and King had left Galena early this morning.
