Mark Utecht has retained his seat on the Wyoming Town Board. Tuesday's election saw only 27 ballots cast. Utecht, the only candidate to file for the Seat E post, received 12 votes. That was one vote better than Frank Storm, a write-in candidate who received 11. There were four blank ballots.
In the contest for clerk-treasurer, Elizabeth (Betsy) Houle retained the seat with 24 votes. She ran unopposed. The low voter turnout can be attributed in part to the pending merger of the township and the city of Wyoming which will take place by the end of June.
