Chairs the perfect Lions’ donation |

The Scandia City Council has accepted a generous donation of chairs for the Scandia Community/ Senior Center from the Scandia Marine Lions Club. Mayor Dennis Seefeldt thanked Lions Club President Dan Hames at the March 18 city council meeting. The 300 padded chairs, valued at $6610.46, replaced the aging metal folding chairs used in the Scandia Community Center Hall. “The many donations of equipment, supplies and labor of the Scandia Marine Lions Club have made the Scandia Community/ Senior Center a well-equipped, quality facility of which all Scandia residents may be proud,” Seefeldt said. “The community center serves as a gathering and meeting place for families, organizations, government and businesses, and contributes greatly to the quality of community life in Scandia.
