3 seek Republican nod in 17B |

Three candidates will offer their names for endorsement when Republicans in House District 17B meet on Saturday, April 5. The convention starts at 10 a.m. at North Branch High School. Candidates who have announced in the race include: Don Taylor, mayor of Chisago City; Sheldon Anderson, mayor Wyoming; and Warren Nelson, Taylors Falls. The two candidates who fail to win party endorsement will have the option of filing and forcing a primary contest in September or step away and allow the endorsed candidate the shot at defeating incumbent Rep. Jeremy Kalin, DFL-North Branch, in November.
