Rolanda DelaMartinez, Hugo, has been endorsed by theDFL Party in the House District 52A contest. She received the nod at the District 52 convention on March 8. An adjunct professor, DelaMartinez describes herself as an advocate for improving education funding, minimizing traffic congestion, protecting children from child abuse and providing access to affordable healthcare and prescription drugs. “Every resident deserves the opportunity to have quality healthcare and not fret that they may not be able to pay for the next visit to the doctor; to have peace of mind their children and grandchildren are receiving education in a classroom that is not overcrowded and is equipped with teachers who are generously compensated; to be able to go to work without taking multiple detours because our roads and bridges are shut down or non-existent; to be assured the workforce will remain strong and our community even stronger; and most importantly, every child should feel protected,” she said. She said she will be listening to the concerns of the community, knocking on doors and visiting with city officials throughout District 52A over the coming months.
