14 students to get Congressional honor |

Students from 14 Minnesota high schools will be receiving the Congressional Certificate of Merit, presented by Congresswoman Michele Bachmann this week. Two ceremonies will be held on consecutive evenings, based on recipients’ location. The sessions will take place on Thursday, March 27 in St. Cloud and Friday, March 28 at Forest Lake High School, 6101 Scandia Trail N. The Forest Lake program will start at 6 p.m. Students were nominated by their high schools for their academic excellence and exemplary citizenship. Recipients who will be honored at the Forest Lake ceremony are: Andover High School, Meggie O’Keefe; Elk River High School, Matthew Brown; New Life Academy, Jessie Hansen; Rivers Christian Academic, Rebekah Wolden; Stillwater Area High School, Elizabeth Swanson; and Woodbury High School, Melisa Cedarholm.
