Scandia Board of Appeal session is Monday, April 7 |

The Scandia City Council will meet as the Board of Appeal and Equalization at the Scandia Community Center Board Room, 14727 209th Street, from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, April 7.
The Board of Appeal and Equalization provides property owners with an opportunity to review and challenge, if necessary, their estimate of market value and/or classification that will be used for calculating the following year’s taxes.
Normally, Washington County mails property tax statements and valuation notices at least 10 days prior to the local board of equalization meetings.
Notices for Scandia are late this year, but are available on the Washington County website (Go to HYPERLINK “http://www.co.washington.mn.us” www.co.washington.mn.us and click on “View Property Tax and Appraisal Information.”)
Owners can access their statements using the address or property identification number (found on previous tax statements.)
Property owners with a concern about their valuation are urged to immediately contact City Assessor Frank Langer at 651 433-3059. They not need to wait for the paper statement to do so.
