Comedian Scott Hansen, who has been named Minnesota Comedian of the Year five times, will appear in Wyoming on Friday, April 18 at a benefit for the St. John’s Academy and Little Angel Pre-school.

The event will be at the Stars and Strikes Entertainment Center. Hansen will perform a night of clean comedy at 8 p.m. with the night kicking off at 6 p.m. with the punch bowl and silent auction bidding.

A buffet dinner featuring chicken and ribs will be served at 7 p.m.

Tickets for the dinner and show or show only are now on sale and may be purchased at the door at Stars and Strikes on April 18th.

The event is the eighth annual gala and auction to support the K-3 school and Little Angel  pre-school at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Stacy.

Tickets for the show and dinner are $30 each. Show only tickets are $20.

A limited number of dinner and show tickets may be purchased in advance for two for $50. All proceeds go to support the education of children preschool through 3rd grade.

The silent auction will once again include a long list of prizes and gift certificates. Total value is in the area of $10,000, said Pastor Ed Wheatley of St. John’s.

Tickets may be purchased in advance at:  Nelson’s Market in North Branch,  the Wyoming and Stacy branches of the First State Bank of Wyoming, Tim’s Country Cupboard in Stacy, St. John’s Lutheran Church in Stacy, Brink’s Market in Chisago City, Auto Value in Forest Lake (on SW 12th St. just south of TCF off W. Broadway Ave.) and the Stars and Strikes Entertainment Center in Wyoming.

About Hansen

In addition to his awards in his home state, Hansen’s national reputation has earned him a spot as a regular fixture appearing in concert with superstars Jay Leno, Jerry Seinfeld and Drew Carey.

The comedian has made millions laugh with gut-splitting national TV appearances on HBO, Showtime, A&E and E!. On regional television, Hansen has produced, written, directed and hosted the highly successful “Comedy Gallery: The TV Show.”

In the Twin Cities television market, he has been a guest host or regular feature on nearly every new, talk, entertainment or sports program.

Hansen has created comedy material that has been used on the “Tonight Show” or “David Letterman” or performed by Leno, Louie Anderson and Roseanne Barr.

He has developed and created two pilots and a series for Comedy Central.

Hansen has been dubbed the, “King of Twin Cities comedy” by staff writer Bob Protzman of the St. Paul Pioneer Press and has been critically acclaimed in numerous front-page, feature stories interviews.
