Greg Berry recognized for television reporting PDF Print

Greg Berry, a Forest Lake High School graduate and former resident of Wyoming, has teamed with another staff member at KIMT TV in Mason City, IA, to win an award for their television sports reporting. Berry and Jeff Zell won an award of merit in the Best Sportscast/Program Small Market TV category for their “Pigskin Preview” story as part of the 2008 Northwest Broadcast News Association Eric Sevareid Awards. Their story was about Sports Overtime which gave a preview for the upcoming 2007 high school football season.

Awards are given to radio and television stations for achievements in spot news, general reporting, series, documentary, feature news, sports reporting, newscast, best audio and best photojournalism. The NBNA is an organization, chartered in 1949, of radio and television journalists working in the six-state Upper Mi8dwest region including Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South  Dakota, and Wisconsin. KIMT is a CBS affiliate in the Mason City, Albert Lea, Austin and Rochester market area and is owned and operated by New Vision Television in Atlanta, GA. Berry is the son of Sue and Dennis Berry of Wyoming.
