Australian jazz fusion guitarist Frank Gambale will present a guitar clinic at The Music Connection in Forest Lake, 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 14. The free educational session is part of Yamaha’s Acoustic Guitar Tour. There will be a pre-clinic meet and greet autograph session at 5 p.m. Although there is no cost to attend, seating is limited. Gambale was student of the year when he graduated from The Guitar Institute of Technology in Hollywood, where he taught for several years. He is renowned for his technique known as “sweep picking.” He recorded and toured with Jean-Luc Ponty, and has recorded five albums and won a Grammy Award with keyboardist Chic Corea. His discography lists over 40 recordings with many of the music industry’s most respected musicians.
