A 95-year-old Forest Lake man was hospitalized last weekend after being recovered from a house fire by local firefighters.

According to law enforcement, Forest Lake police and firefighters were called to a home at 319 Fourth Ave. NW around 1 p.m. March 17 after a fire alarm went off. Firefighters entered the house and found a fire on the main floor of the residence; they searched the home and found the 95-year-old man near the back door. They removed him from the house, but he had already been burned on his upper body. He was airlifted to Regions Hospital, where he is in stable condition, according to information provided March 18 by the Forest Lake Fire Department.
