Teacher gets call of a lifetime

An early morning call from the boss seldom brings happy news. So imagine how Forest Lake High School science teacher Bruce Leventhal felt Friday when Principal Steve Massey handed him a phone and told him that the man on the other end was the boss of all education for the whole country.

Two decades later, FLHS alum reunited with class ring

If Penny Elsenpeter Collinsworth returns this summer for the Forest Lake High School Class of 1988’s 25-year reunion, it’s a good bet she will be wearing her class ring.

Siri Simon and Christy Newell, both members of the Forest Lake High School Class of 2008, are about to embark on a 2,000-mile biking adventure. It’s not all fun and games, though. FLHS alumnae to pedal with purpose

Farmers from 10 states will behold an unusual sight in the coming months: a handful of recent college graduates, led by two young women, will roll in on bicycles for in-depth conversations about the farming industry.
