A 40-year-old man who in 1997 was found guilty of killing his then-fiancee’s 3-year-old girl at a farmhouse in Shakopee is now living under supervised release at a residence in the Stacy-Linwood Township area of Anoka County.
At the Feb. 25 Linwood Town Board meeting, attorney Mike Haag presented in final form Ordinance No. 148, Regulation of Adult Use Establishments. The board approved the 21-page ordinance and publication of the three-page summary.
Linwood supervisors on Feb. 11 approved the proposed township budget for 2015 in the amount of $1,756,860. Officials will meet with an auditor Feb. 25 and this amount will be presented to residents at the annual meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 11.
Cindy Gruett resigned as chairman of the Cemetery Committee, and committee members Pat Crawford, Deb Parker and Lois Rustad also submitted letters of resignation, leading the Linwood Town Board to unanimously vote to dissolve the committee Jan. 28.
