One of the questions Linwood voters will decide in the November general election is whether the position of town clerk will become a hired position or continue as an elected position. This has been a discussion topic at several meetings, including the annual meeting in March.

Linwood Township’s website will soon have a new look. Kelly Kramer was hired by the Town Board May 13 to manage the website and update its information.

Linwood Township employee Chris Herring is fighting Stage 4 cancer in his jaw. Surgery was completed within a week of his diagnosis in December, and the cancer has not spread to any vital organs, but he is on a rigorous schedule of chemotherapy and radiation.

Learning of difficulties in regulating adult entertainment businesses in several neighboring cities, Linwood officials are planning to get an ordinance in place before there is a request to locate a similar business in the Linwood Township.
